
Mayor Vance Gutzman
Born and raised in Laurentian Hills, Vance returned home after traveling extensively. A graduate of Sheridan College's journalism program, he is currently Associate Editor of the North Renfrew Times. In his second term as Mayor, Vance wants to continue to return to the basic's of Municipal Government with balanced books and clear roads. Concentrating on basic infrastructure first and then inter-municipal relations, he strives to enhance the lives of the people in Laurentian Hills.

Deputy Mayor Fred Adams Ward 1
Fred retired as Acting Director of the Computers, Information and Communications (CICS) Division of AECL Canada. Fred and his wife Sally have three children. - Fred Jr. living in Laurentian Hills, daughter Xena in England, and son Tracy in North Bay. Fred has an HBA (Honours Business Admin) degree from the Richard Ivey school at the University of Western Ontario and has sat on local Council since 1994. Fred and Sally are both Directors and Officers of the Development Corporation in Swisha, both were trainers for Canadian Power Squadrons, and were long-serving Cub and Boy Scout leaders in Manitoba.

Councillor Anne Giardini Ward 2
Anne is in her second term as councillor for Ward 2. Living in McKee subdivision with her husband and children, Anne keeps an active lifestyle by playing hockey and basketball. She is also an avid reader. Anne currently works as a machinist at A.E.C.L.

Councillor Richard (Dick) Rabishaw Ward 3
Residing in Chalk River, Richard was born and raised in the village. After 30 years with A.E.C.L., he retired to start a family business with his son. Richard is in his second term as councillor for Ward 3.

Councillor Dave Ethier Ward 4
Dave has been in politics going on nine years, two years with the former Village of Chalk River and currently with the Town of Laurentian Hills. Dave Ethier is married with two children. He is currently employed by American Water Services where he operates and supervises several water and sewage facilities. He enjoys most outdoor activities like hockey and snowmobiling but his passion is waterfowl hunting.
Council meeting
At 7:00pm on the 15th day following the first Tuesday of the month.If you wish to address Council, all delegations must be arranged by noon on the Thursday before the meeting by calling the Clerk at 613-584-3114.
